La Lomita Ranch Weddings — Attraction in San Luis Obispo

La Lomita Ranch is truly a dream wedding venue. My first time coming to LLR was actually for a girls getaway weekend and I was immediately in awe of the property and the overall experience of being there. I knew this ranch was special and thought it would make for the most beautiful wedding venue.

My husband proposed a few months after my trip to LLR, so him and I ended up coming back to do a property walk through. We saved LLR as the last of our venue search to compare it to the other well -known venues in the area. We felt like La Lomita was by far the most spectacular. There are some really beautiful venues in SLO, but what we loved about LLR is that it really had it all for us. The venue offers gorgeous vineyards, incredible valley views, the peacefulness of nature, and for us the thought of having our family stay in the surrounding luxury casitas was perfectly intimate in the sense that they could experience the wedding weekend with us. Those memories of sharing the weekend together with the people we love most ended up being something we will never forget. The venue is nestled in a beautiful valley which provided the quiet and secluded setting my husband and I were looking for while still being close to town which was really fun for our guests and our after party of course :)

The staff at La Lomita Ranch made the wedding experience seamless and we are so thankful to have been able to collaborate with Karen and her team. They were extremely communicative and proactive in the planning process to make sure the day was perfect. The staff also worked hard to help with set up and clean up and went out of their way to make sure not a detail was missed. At the end of the wedding night, staff members assisted guests to their cars and made sure everyone had a ride home. Cannot say enough wonderful things about La Lomita! We got engaged in September 2022, and that fall researched dozens of venue options in the Central & Southern California region as we knew the general region we wanted our wedding to be in (my grandmothers live in San Diego and can only travel by car) and had a concept of the type of wedding we wanted but did not have any concrete idea for location or the details. We needed a venue that would understand our vision (rustic, modern, elegant, unique, private) & could cater the weekend of wedding events around us as a couple (East meets West theme). We toured several properties from San Diego to Temecula to LA to SLO to Paso, and the moment we stepped on site at La Lomita we knew we had found our venue. The location is spacious with many options for where to hold various events for a wedding weekend. Karen was incredibly helpful and gracious. We loved that we could rent out the entire property for our guests. We ended up doing wine tasting on site in the tasting room (their wine is phenomenal) the Thursday afternoon; rehearsal dinner in the barn Friday evening; and used several of the open areas and spaces for the welcome sip / ceremony / cocktail hour / reception / bonfire for the wedding day. We stayed on site in the Hacienda for the week and the staff was beyond incredible. The breakfast and service was amazing. It was truly such a unique and beautiful experience. The horses, emus, calves, and animals around the ranch made it all the more special. Karen was always so responsive and helped ensure our planning process went smoothly. My wife and I had the most memorable wedding at the dreamiest venue we could ask for. We booked out La Lomita Ranch for 3 days last October and it was worth it. Our family & friends enjoyed every bit of the location. From the stunning Spanish style rooms (and large hacienda that housed my sister and 5 kids) that left no detailed spared, to the picturesque pond and vineyard around the property, to the horse stables that were a favorite among every guest that walked through, to the absolute standout service from the venue staff, the location was in one word MAGICAL. Shoutout to Karen! Who from the first time we toured the venue to our last goodbyes the day after the wedding, she was always around to assist with anything we needed. Even the breakfast each morning was deliciously memorable. (Long live the famous frittatas!) Thanks to Darlene and the rest of the staff who was always attentive to our every need the entire weekend. La Lomita is a place that any soon to be married couple would remember forever if they're lucky enough to choose it.
