Walnut Grove Park is gorgeous! The surrounding scenery is breathtaking with the mountains by Mesa Rock. This park has massive lawns and an amazing running trail around the park which continues on Sycamore Drive as well. Because there are horse arenas on the premises, I was hoping my son would be able to see some equestrian practice. Unfortunately, the only horses we saw were the ones grazing on some grass at a house nearby.

This is a large park that includes many sports fields, vast lawns, playgrounds, 2 meeting buildings, historic houses that can be toured, and equestrian facilities. Horses can often be seen in the ring or on the trails. There is a dual track surrounding most of the park, one soft surface and the other paved. They are great for all activities. The trail also connects to the surrounding community trails. The dual trail along Twin Oaks Valley Parkway, adjacent to the golf course, is very shaded...
Read moreThis park is a good place to park and walk or even just sit in my truck and relax. The park has equestrian parking. I'm under the impression that is where the headquarters, or at least a meeting hall, is located. There are a couple historical buildings within the park, however they're not open everyday. There is also a party hall that looks great for things like...
