This place was a pathetic overpriced joke! Adding insult to injury, the staff couldn't care less about doing their job! We purchased tickets online for a 1:30pm tour. You should be forewarned that you will also be charged a processing fee and a service fee "saving you money" by purchasing tickets online. We arrived an hour early. When my wife checked us in we were told to wait outside because that was where the tour was to start. 1:28pm only my wife and I along with a lady with her 2 grand babies were waiting in the heat. Decided to double check where our tour started. Now we are told it was starting indoors! Several employees bsing at the front desk with rude and lackadatious attitudes when asked about when the tour was gonna actually start!!! Finally at 1:55pm our tour started. Our tour guide braydon suggested getting tips several times throughout the tour. Here is a tip, try getting all the employees to treat customers with respect and starting the tours on time!!!!!! Disorganization and caos seems to be a common complaint in reading the reviews. The issue has yet to be resolved!!! Makes me wonder if the owners even care. Secondly why do you allow people with screaming toddlers on the tour? We had a couple with papoose style backpacks each with a small kid screaming their heads off for the 25 minutes waiting for the tour to start and continued screaming until they finally told the tour guide 3/4s of the way through the tour they had to leave. Futhermore, It is very close quarters in some areas making it difficult to pass creating a safety issue for the kids in their papooses. Not to mention we could not hear our tour guide over the screaming! We paid for a tour that was horrible to say the least! When we get done with the cave tour the front desk employees start claiming we already did the petting zoo portion and the gravity room. After some heated discussion we were shown the gravity house which is just one room and in +100° tempertures and zero circulation/ventalation. Inside the room. Not even the fans were working!!! The snack bar was filthy and $3.52 for a bottle of water which is about the price of a case at HEB! Secondly the air condition vent directly above the table we were sitting at was full of what appeared to be fiberglass and was falling down onto our table. Notified the staff. Went on our tour and checked back after our tour and nothing had been done. Rest assured the health department will be notified. This place may have been nice at one point but with the current staff and management it won't last much longer. I highly recommend avoiding this money pit. Check out Cave without a Name or Natural Bridge Caverns. Both places appreciate your business and customers are treated respectfully. My experiences were they are punctual starting their tours. Their caves are far more beautiful in comparison and worth the price...
Read moreThis was one of the coolest places we took our family in a long time! So much fun and we had a blast. Not a negative at all but I'd recommend the cave experience for anyone 4 and up but I'll get into that later in the review
Our tour guide was Josh and he was awesome! Full of energy, super informative, interacted with the crowd and made sure everyone had fun.
The cave experience: Super cool and our family had a blast. The only thing I'd mention is that there are VERY steep stairs. If you bring kids, I'd recommend they be OVER 4 years old. We had a 2 year old and he loved it but I had to carry him the whole way. HOWEVER, Josh made sure this was not a bad experience. He kept encouraging me and even made it like an awesome gym workout. We had to turn back due to the elevator being iffy and had to walk the way back. Carried my 2 year old 1.5 miles through the caves, ducking rocks and making sure he was safe. I was absolutely drenched in sweat and exhausted but Josh encouraged me the whole way. Near the end I was about to give in and he kept it up "You can do it! Just a little more. We're almost there! Don't give up now, you got this! Just one more push!". I cannot express in words how much this man motivated me to keep going!
The gravity house: This was super cool and all of the kids loved this one. If you have younger kids they'll have fun for sure. Pretty short but it's really cool. He explained all of the mechanics of it and left us to have fun after he was finished. My 2 year old LOVED watching the ball roll up the hill and liked watching the water flow upwards.
Honestly, I can't wait to go back once our 2 year old grows a bit so he can do all of the climbing himself. Please try this if you're in town or passing by. We got a few souvineres and the kids couldn't stop talking about it...
Read moreWe did the 11:30 tour on 7/22/2021. Will was our tour guide and it was awesome! We did the All In One and I highly recommend that. My teenager and I were super impressed with how knowledgeable, yet funny and entertaining Will was. We both felt like we learned a lot. I really liked that you stay with the same tour guide and group of people for each attraction. Even though they were strangers, I felt close to the other people by the end of our time together. The train ride through the waterfall to see the animals was great and I think perfect for all ages. Definitely buy at least one bag of food to feed the animals. The cave is amazing. A few of the elderly people in our tour group took a little longer to traverse to each point of interest in the cave; certain parts are pretty steep, tightly enclosed, a little slippery, and/or difficult. It is a cave after all. But everyone in our group looked out for each other and warned people behind of approaching challenges. Will the tour guide always made sure we were safe and all together before telling us about the areas we were in and history behind them. The elevator shaft out of the cave was struck by lightning a few days ago so we didn’t get to see the tower but I hope to return some day and check it out. Instead we got an extended tour of the cave and exited another way which was very cool. We also enjoyed the anti gravity house and gift shop! Can’t say enough kind words about everyone working at Wonder World. Sensational smart and kind young people!! One last extra special shout out to Will, he made the experience so memorable. I’ve personally wanted to see the cave since I was a kid in the 80s and am so glad I finally had a chance. Great way to spend a...
