M & M Taco Corner — Restaurant in San Marcos

We just moved here and I was excited to see a taqueria, but it was really bad. I was shocked. The lady taking the order came across very unfriendly, but 🤷‍♀️. But the tacos were completely tasteless, dry (potato egg and cheese) and not even hot enough to melt the cold cheese tossed on top of the breakfast tacos. And the salsa was TERRIBLE. Like so so bad I don’t even know how they did it. I was like water with a maybe a bit of juice from a cut tomato thrown at it. Not to mention I LOVE good chili and smother my tacos in it so I asked for a second for my second taco which was an additional .81cents … for the tiny container. This also would be not a big deal if the salsa was good, but it was so bad. I was disappointed. I ate a bit of the refried beans i got to kill the hunger pains and then went home and made my own later. It is a place I would never...

Food is great, out of ALL of the places with "tacos" these are the better ones, and are priced just right. Other places charge between $0.50-$1.00 more, and the ingredients and amount of food in them are not remotely close to the taco corner, so yeah.. well priced with good amount in them.

Now regarding the service, it is amazing coming from Nina and Mary, they always greet you with a smile and Mary even sings, it is a great vibe. However, like all of the negative reviews in here they all talk about Debbie, and I understand those customers, she's always greeting me with a grim annoyed face and a "what do you want", it gives me the vibe she's the owners daughter, hence why she behaves that way and hasnt changed her attitude in customer service. Maybe she's going through a lot, who knows. Not a 5star because of her.

Worst. Tacos. EVER! First, let me start that we arrived at 6:30, which is their posted opening time. Upon arrival, we went to order and the lady at the window told us they wouldn’t have anything ready until 7. Fine - we waited until 7. When we FINALLY got the tacos they were sooo greasy! We ordered four bean and bacon tacos and and two carne guisada. Every single taco appeared to have been dipped in grease prior to wrapping it up. They don’t provide nearly enough napkins to eat these tacos, we had to eat with dish towels for all of the grease! The beans were flavorless and the bacon was overcooked and difficult to eat.
