⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Steep Start, Great Cardio, Hidden Gem

The first mile is a steep climb—about 730 feet of elevation gain right out of the gate. It’s a serious leg and cardio workout. After that, the trail levels out and gets much easier, though the descent is still fairly steep. The view of Mt. Hood at the top is a nice reward. Trail was clear, dry, and well maintained. Hardly any bugs. We parked in a small turnout across the dirt road from the trailhead. A pretty cool hidden...

Yes, this is a hard trail if you aren’t a regular hill climber. But it only took us 1h 15m up to the vista and back.

It is mostly uphill with some lovely flat parts on the ridge.
