The first 20 min of the walk was nice because you cant see the road but after that point you walk along with the road for a while and I am not a fan of that. But in the first part you can go down by the water. Very pretty and green. It is a long trail and we werent able to walk the whole thing so maybe it goes back off the road but we didnt have time for it.

This was a nice trail. It does follow the main HWY 26 for a while. We wanted to let our dog run so we climbed down a bank to walk along the water. Pretty steep hill. Other people did not clean up after their dog so the trail was not clean as we would like for our little kids. No one else was around so it was private.

Really fun Trailhead. Leads to really cool looking old structure that you could possibly have a picnic party inside. There's also a fire pit. Really nice area to relax and walk through the woods or stop for lunch :-)

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR CAR GETTING BROKEN INTO! My girlfriend and I were just visiting for a half hour to take some photos with our dog, and her back window was smashed out and the whole car ransacked. They got a few items, but nothing too valuable.

I noticed some old window glass on the dirt floor when I stepped out of the car, but it didn't register to me at the time. Had I put more thought into it, I wouldn't have let us stay. Unfortunately, we also became victims to theft.

I saw a group of young, male adults smoking and hanging out by the right side trail entrance. Again, I hadn't thought much of it, considering hanging out and smoking a cigarette at a trailhead is not a crime. However, I suspect that it was this group that broke into the car, and I am sure it wasn't there first time. BEWARE OF...

For mountain biking, this trail is awesome! It takes you from the Government Camp area, down to Rhododendron. There are "dry riverbed" sections that are slippery when really dry (late summer), 3 uphills, a place where you have to cross hwy 26(a little sketchy), and an awesome 1.5+ mile section that is mostly straight and smooth so you can really...
