Arroyo Burro Beach Parking — Attraction in Santa Barbara

Google maps said it opened at 7 however when I arrived at 7:30 they said they open at 8. One man turned to another and asked if I could be let in, I said "please, I've driven from NC" and he said "Go park in SC!" The man who had wanted to be helpful told me about a street I could park a few blocks away but it's residential with no space available. I didn't drive for 3 days to risk getting towed so now I'm waiting patiently while they shake their head...

Very rare not to be able to get parking here (free). Fri/Sat/Sun evening can be crazy, especially if it coincides with a low tide.
