I really enjoy this park for it beautiful ocean view...it has a walking path that meanders along the Santa Barbara Mesa along the coast line with a BEAUTIFUL VIEW ...it has a couple trails that lead down to beach access. Or you can continue down the cement walkway all the way down to the Harbor and Shoreline Cafe. Recently, however, the beach was heavily soiled with tar/oil and covered my feet with mess...had to go directly to a nail salon so they could SCRUB my feet clean! Though, I don't think it's always like that. Up on the Mesa end is also a park for children to play with climbing apparatuses and sand. Great place to run and walk your dogs!!!

Parking was free, packed but we got lucky. The area had a lot of people enjoying the lovely scenery, walking paths, bike paths. The neighborhood has some nice beach homes. We were able to ride our bikes about a mile, lock them up then go for a run on the beach. I have to say I felt a tad uneasy with the area despite the nice homes there. I did wonder if we’d return to either missing bikes, or a vandalized vehicle but neither scenarios occurred thankfully probably due to there being a good amount of vehicle traffic, and passersby. The beach itself was nice, clean, enjoyable. There was a volley ball court there amongst other things.

A great wide open park with plenty of benches and paid parking. Reatros are available. Also showers for swimmers at the restrooms. Great restaurant right on the beach as well! The beach is long and wide with very little tar and moderate seaweed. A good longboarding surf spot as the point break is generally small and slow. Sand bottom underwater mostly so kids can enjoy playing in the generally small shore break close in. Also to note: this beach is just BEFORE where the harbor dredge expels into the ocean just down east beach...much cleaner water.

Shoreline Park in Santa Barbara is a serene haven for an evening walk, offering breathtaking views of the moonrise and a laid-back atmosphere. The park exudes relaxation and chill vibes, making it an ideal spot for those seeking a peaceful escape. However, it's worth noting that parking spots are limited, so planning ahead or arriving early enhances the overall experience. Whether you're looking to unwind, enjoy the scenic beauty, or simply take a leisurely stroll, Shoreline Park is a fantastic destination for a tranquil and rejuvenating outing.

Beautiful park overlooking the ocean where you see people walking their many fine dogs. You see many beautiful breeds! It also has some stairs that take you straight down to the beach where, depending on tide conditions, you can walk a great deal. This beach is leash free as you head west but dogs must remain in a leash as you head east toward the warf. Great location for watching the sun rise and set.

Fantastic walking park in Santa Barbara’s Mesa neighborhood. Excellent ocean views, beach and ocean access, small playground, and family friendly. Also overlooks popular surf spot and is very close to SBCC campus. Popular place for dog walkers (dogs on leash, please). Great for both sunrise and sunset viewing. Decent parking options at both ends. Public restrooms available during park hours.
