This is a nice and quiet park along the CA coast. They have two small parking lots, both near restrooms, with a nice view of the water along the entire park. In between the two lots is a stairwell that apparently leads down to a small beach, but the tide was high when I went down so all I found was a tiiiiiiiny bit of sand and rocks with waves crashing in. I can see this secluded area being really nice when the tide isn't so high.
All along the park are benches for people to sit and enjoy the view, although the placement of some of the benches was odd since some benches were right behind a tree so your view of the ocean is completely obscured. There is also a small playground and a couple areas for grilling. This would definitely be a great spot to hang out if you lived in the area. I saw a lot of people running/jogging through the park and also a lot of people with their dogs. I tell myself that if I lived in an area like this I would definitely be more active, but who am I kidding... :P
The park is just a short ways away from Stearns Wharf and Brophy Bros. and that whole area, and if it's on your way it's worth stopping by to relax and enjoy the...

Read moreFriendly neighborhood park where you see the best of Santa Barbara. Views of the ocean, nice people, dogs being walked and children practicing soccer. There are bathrooms that are decent enough to use and many tables, as well as a large and well contained playground for kids.
If you are looking for a longer walk, you can head down the stairs to the beach (not at high tide - water comes right up to the stairs but 75% of the time you can make your way about) and turn left to see surfers and be on a larger open beach, or right for a more quiet walk with yourself.
If you do go left, once you hit the larger beach area around the point, there is a long ramp that leads back up to the upper park, creating a loop. Parking is limited but not impossible, I have been able to get a spot each time I went, though might have had to be patient.
Enjoy the bright green grass and neighborhood feel...
