As you stand atop the towering lighthouse, the salty sea breeze whips around you, carrying with it the sweet tang of seaweed and brine. You take a deep breath, feeling your lungs fill with the crisp, refreshing air. Looking out towards the horizon, you see an endless expanse of deep blue water stretching out as far as the eye can see. The ocean sparkles and shimmers under the bright sun, its surface rippling gently in the breeze. As you gaze out over the water, you see a small pod of dolphins leaping and playing in the waves, their sleek bodies glinting in the sunlight. In the distance, a lone sailboat bobs up and down on the swells, its white sails billowing in the wind. To your left, a rocky coastline stretches out into the water, its craggy cliffs rising up from the waves. You can see the white foam of the waves crashing against the rocks below, sending up plumes of spray

This place is the slice of life everyone needs. You will be greeted warmly by locals, then be greeted with unfathomably beautiful views. The water here is cold (45° in late November), and the waves can be brutal, but if you're brave (or stupid) enough, you'll try to jump off the cliffs at the edge! Call me what you will, but I tried it and had a blast. As long as you know how to swim, you'll be fine, just jump more towards the beach! Other than that, people come here to rock out some tunes, smoke peacefully, and enjoy the weather of one of the greatest cities in America.

A magical gathering point in our community. A large grassy lawn wrapped with a path protected by a fence on the edge of a ledge overlooking the ocean. At anytime you can find families, friends, tourists standing at the fence watching the surfers below. In the lawn you'll find kids, dogs (on leash), hoopers, bubble artists enjoying the space by the ocean. Benches for sitting. The rails on the fencing are small enough that little ones can freely run about or watch the ocean below without worry. And during season the Lighthouse Surf Museum is open.
