This is a.popular destination for folks who want to get some mountain atmosphere. You can simply walk up the road that goes to the radio/phone towers or you can branch off.on trails that take a more challenging route up the mountainside. There are bathrooms available at.the parking site, but no running water. Be sure to bring your own. It is also best to visit this site in the morning hours since thunderstorms are quite common in July and August. Veteran hikers usually plan to be off the mountain by early afternoon. Read moreLovely trail with fantastic view points. We did this trail on Christmas Day of 2020. Initially we were planning to rent snowshoes but ended up with normal shoes. Kids can walk up on the sides for fun...
Read moreThis is such a special place, the Creator gave us a true Norman Rockwell painting to walk through: Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter, Stunning!!! However, the only thing that can ruin it is thoughtless people, Please clean up after your dog: easy, guide him to the side, push dirt or snow over it. Be responsible, as you would for your child. One day, we entered and saw 14 piles, urine sprayed everywhere. Ugh! I simply kicked snow over each one, No More Unsightly Piles. Let's retain this gorgeous beauty, it shows our appreciation, nicer walks, better for tourism. Plastic bags aren't soluble. Thank you (we're wishing there was a sign).
