It is an almost 500 ft continuous ascent to the Inspiration Point from Stevens Creek Tony Look Trailhead. The path is very beautiful and wooded so it is ideal for a hike on a hot day. It is also very narrow so everyone would have to travel in a single file. Beyond the Inspiration Point the path widens out but there are no shaded trees either all the way up to Maisie's Peak. There is a bench at the Inspiration Point but absolutely no shade. The views from here are good but not when you are seated.
