Sand Mountain Pawn & Outdoors — Attraction in Sardis City

This place tried, no did, take advantage of my family member. After reviewing transactions at home we went back to the shop for an explanation. We left with some of the money they had initially kept. Will never do business with this place again. Sold guns on gunbroker. Was verbally told the amount charged for service. Not given anything written. After guns sold money picked up. The amount was not correct. After re calculating several times he went back to shop requesting explanation of charges. He was given more money,though it wasn't the amount originally verbally agreed on. Decided to take the amount and just never do business here again. It's bad when you try to take advantage of senior citizens. If it was just a misunderstanding on his part, they could have just explained the charges. We have already moved on. Just want others to be aware. I asked about written papers etc. He said they calculated the charges on a POST-IT note. When he first told me he was selling thru these people I looked at the online auction. I said that I did NOT see them all listed online. He checked with the shop and they assured him that they were. I pulled up the auction site for him to see. This seems minor, but surely you know what you have posted for sale? They responded here to review, but never by email or in person. I notice on Facebook they have some really bad reviews. You are warned. "Ol boy" seems to not do what he says. It's probably not a good idea to try and cheat folks in your own community. My bad review got kicked out so well try it again.. previous owners were great ppl they went under new ownership last week and instead of honoring what previous owners did they repoed my vehicle a week before I make payments on the 29th every 8 weeks on a 300$ loan they charged me 800 to get truck out after telling me 600 when I called not to mention I thought I had a week left as that's what I been doing. I've dealt with sand mountain paw. For 3 years until now I got my truck back after it was caught on video being perked through a ditch bc the repo man couldn't get in parking lot good thing my step-dad works for state attorney generals office and I have the platform I do to let everyone know. 3 years I never had a problem pawned 2 vehicles there when I got the last one out last year they took 300 off and let me get it out for 250 bc I had been a loyal customer and always paid. Not the way to do business at all or treart former customers. They won't have my business again I drove from locust fork to sardis to get the truck 2 hrs after repo 600 is what he told me I get there the new owner charges me 760$ to get itout. My husband and I have been loyal customers of this pawn shop, we figure if you treat us fair you get our business. Trust me we do alot of business through pawn, in the last 6 months we have spent on the good side of $2000.00 at this shop. This last time my husband got me a beautiful ring for Valentines Day and I haven't had it 2 weeks and the stone fell out and is lost.
