Great park to sit and watch the ships go by, enjoy the birds (ducks pretty much all the time - others are more seasonal), not far enough to escape the sounds of the city unless you have noise cancellng headphones. Lots of benches to just sit and chill. Places to fish along the bank, as well as a little fishing pier. During the winter months the snow is not cleaned up on the road or benches; you are on your own. People still crive into the park so it is accessible by vehicle or you can walk in (it's not that big). Bring something to sit on if the benches might be wet or snow covered. Parking in the park is available, or you can park in the lot just outside the park and walking. Dogs are welcome, but should be leashed if there are oter folks in the park. During the really cold months, and bad weather your pup can run free as the park tends to be relatively empty. Poop bags for your do are available at the entrance / exit. Please cleanup after your dog. Don't miss Rotary Park if you're in the Soo.

We have visited this park many times to play at the playground (which is great for ages 1-5!) but this was our first time fishing in the children's pond (up to Age 16 only!) and my son had an absolute blast. Although he didn't catch anything on his first try, we will surely be back to give it another go. I will give warning to watch out for Canada Goose poop! They like to hang out here and it is everywhere, but it definitely doesn't ruin your experience, in my opinion. This is an absolute wonderful spot to watch the boats/freighters come downriver from the Soo Locks. They are really up close & personal here!

Personally, I mostly go for the relaxing scenery but there's a lot more available than just sitting and taking it all in. Fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, as well as a small playground for the kids, there's something for everyone. It's a great spot for a family picnic or small gathering. It's a very popular site for ship enthusiasts to take pictures and videos of the ships that frequent the channel. It has something for everyone. For me, it's a nice place to go to sit outside and read a book. When I've read enough, I'll simply sit and enjoy the lovely scenery.

Great park to visit in the Soo. Right next to Clyde's and the Sugar Island Ferry, on the St Mary's river. A great place to see freighters passing by. An updated playground for kids, bathroom facilities, benches throughout and a kayak launch dock make for easy recreational access to the waterways. Voyager Island has a partial boardwalked pathway to explore by foot. Lots to do packed into one relatively small park. An invaluable public asset for the Soo area.

The park was very clean and a nice environment to relax and let the kids play. My 5yo played at the playground while my 9yo fished in the “kids only” pond. It’s an area marked off by a net for kids 16 and under only. There’s a nice little dock for them to cast from. We seen a ship come by which was really neat and nice for the kids. Very nice area!

This is a beautiful little park for a picnic, walk around the pond, and just sit and watch the ships. This is a spectacular area and well kept. There was a small diner very close by but unfortunately it was closed for the season. Also, take a walk on the boardwalk and enjoy the local charm.
