Kids like the food here!
Kids being teens and maybe a little picky, which are both accolades to the chefs and their staff. Reverence Farms’ made me change my posting of other restaurants in south Alamance County because their food was great. Read other professional postings and question how they could rate below a 4.
Fresh food is not prepared fast as they have a variety on their menu still. They are busy and that is a good testament to their service and food. So what makes them above average for the region?
First culture. They have a theme, but they go beyond that. You can see the extra steps in the menu to serve meat eaters and vegetarians (those who are bad hunters). They mark their menus for alternative dietary restrictions. Bottom line, they care.
Second. Child friendly menu. Young kids like bland food because they have all their taste buds. As we age we loose them and want spicy foods. As adults we enjoy the cuisine and the kids have their Mac and cheese. Simply done.
Third. Friendly staff. Relatively quick. Nuff said.
Fourth. They do a brunch on Sunday like the big city folks.
Fifth. I would recommend anyone within a 2 hour drive give this place a go. Fresh seasonal foods that may have been picked that same day. They make dressings from scratch. Their cuisine rivals many high priced restaurants in Chapel Hill; however, they are down to earth and the owner will move from his table to shake a customers hand and give them a seat.
You always feel welcome at their table and that is an invaluable experience.
Cheers
May 2018 update. They may have new faces at the grill and their skills are coming up to par fast. The young gal at the front managing the chefs will get your order right. Keep checking the food going out and keep those boys...
Read moreMy wife and I ate here after doing a farm tour at Reverence Farms. I did check the reviews before heading out and the several people had commented on the prices and level of service. So coming in I was slightly skeptical and that being said we had an absolutely amazing meal with great coffee and great service while the restaurant was filled to capacity. Anybody who complains about the prices here does not understand or have a realistic idea of what quality food costs. And all the reviews saying how great the vegetable hash and coffee are are completely true. I will never pass reverence Cafe and not stop for at least a cup of coffee. I will be returning to try more items on their menu and take advantage of their daily specials. And I would absolutely recommend this place to anybody looking for a great meal and a lovely down to earth atmosphere. And I would also like to say that I truly appreciate the staff and the people at the farm to make such a wonderful...
Read moreWhat a great local farm and so much more. Every part of this farm is thought out purposefully. From the clean equipment and barns to full fields of clean grass . Their animals are healthy and very well cared for. Shop their local store on Saturdays ( my choice) or go to their online store to buy and have shipped . They also offer local pickup locations details on their website. I have been to several , get to know you events . Take the kids and learn about your local food , grown with love and kindness. The reverence farm is a rarity. The farm supports and is active in the North Carolina food and business community . The more you get to know their farm family , you will see they are not a bunch of "methods" . They are a constantly evolving to be a model for other farmers to learn from . For the final food mile. Drive over and taste the local flavor difference at the reverence farm...
