Benny Vino Winery — Attraction in Saybrook

My wife and I visited the Benny Vino winery, for the first time, a few weeks ago. When seeing it from the road, the name pulled me in. I'm soooooo glad my wife and I stopped. Ya the wine is top notch, but the best was getting to meet the owner, Benny himself. He took the time to great us with his warm smile and outgoing personality. Then he went on to explain where the name of the winery came from. Also sharing about his many trips to Italy. We enjoyed every second of it. I give 5 stars to Benny, his awesome & friendly staff, to the great wine and cozy establishment. We will be back, Mr. Benny....we will be back! Keep the light on buddy and the delish...

Had a terrible experience there and wasn't even there for 5 min. Besides the fact that it was our first time going there and didn't know how to get there we didn't know it was way back in the woods, which we would have gotten over but once there we couldn't tell if it was open or not. My fiancé asked the heavy set guy in the grey beard if they were open, well he just brushed us off with his hand and went back to his phone call. My girlfriend and I went there yesterday (Sep 10) for the first time. They know how to make wine! Everything we tasted was superb. Usually, a winery will have one that is off key a bit. But the wines at Benny Vino Urban Winery hit all the notes like a well-tuned Grand Piano. The place is very quaint; tucked away in the woods overlooking the Grand River. Easy to get to if you know how to read signs or your smartphone. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We got to meet the owner and he was very cordial and welcoming.
