The Valley at Frutig Farms — Attraction in Scio Township

My (now) husband and I got married at The Valley in June 2024 and we could not have imagined a more perfect wedding. We booked with The Valley in Dec 2022 after taking a tour of the property with Ed. It was the first venue we toured together and we blocked off a date with Ed right then and there. Ed is SO friendly, made us feel like family, and really cares about the people who work at his venue.

We worked mostly with Kaitlin in the lead up to the wedding with some discussions with Kelly here and there and they were both extremely helpful. Anytime we asked them if they can do something, the answer was always yes. They will go to the ends of the Earth to make your vision a reality. They are also very practical and know their venue inside and out. For example, there was a heat wave on the day of our wedding, so Kaitlin emailed us suggesting that we move our ceremony inside. We replied and said we would like to move it to the lower barn, but Kaitlin replied and really encouraged us to think about moving it to the upper barn. She was absolutely right about that and we really appreciated that she voiced her opinion as the expert on the venue.

We had dinner outside underneath the tent and it was just stunning. There were about ~220 people at our wedding and it just felt like everyone had something to do - some people were outside playing cornhole, some people sat underneath the tent and talked to other people, and some people were out on the dance floor.

If you are thinking about booking with The Valley, just do it. You will not regret it. Anytime we told one of our other vendors that we were getting married at The Valley, their response was always, "oh, you're going to have no problems. If I could give The Valley more than 5 stars, I would! The Valley is the most unique wedding venue. The property itself has so much charm and character. The property has ample space and a variety of settings to plan your perfect day.

The venue features an upstairs barn, downstairs barn, huge lawn, tents, and a patio space. The barn wood and architecture has so much character and truly is one of a kind. The layout is very cohesive with lots of space to work with. We decided on having our ceremony in the upstairs barn, cocktail hour on the patio, dinner under the tent on the lawn, and dancing in the lower barn.

The Valley schedules one wedding per weekend, which made it incredibly convenient to have our rehearsal dinner on Friday. Bringing everything over on Friday allowed us to focus on enjoying the wedding day.

The preferred vendor list made it very easy to plan the day; all the vendors were fantastic!

From the first time we met Ed and Kelly on our tour, we immediately felt their commitment and passion for this place. Ed and Kelly were extremely helpful from start to finish. It is evident that they take great pride in making this place magical for newlyweds and their loved ones.

Kaitlin truly has a gift! She was very professional, detail oriented, and creative in planning the weekend. Kaitlin was able to turn our vision for the weekend into reality.

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Frutig Farms. We had our wedding here this past September, and it was the most magical, beautiful weekend of my life. From start to finish, the entire Frutig team was an absolute dream to work with. What first drew us to the venue was how accommodating and flexible they were — every other venue we toured had so many limitations, but the Frutig team welcomed our ideas with open arms and helped us bring our exact vision to life.
