Nice campground for a couple of nights. Well taken care of. A little bit of a washboard road going in. Close to a paved walking path by the river & a short drive to Scottsbluff NP. Although we didn’t do this, it’s within walking distance to some children’s activities such as a little zoo. Heads up if you have a dog….burrs!

Lovely park! Great walking trails, playground, dog yard and of course benches along the river. We stayed at the campground and enjoyed the park. Only drawback was the lack of restrooms at the park.

May 2024 Camped 4 nights. Bathroom has recently been painted. Floor, ceiling, walls. Clean bathroom womens the whole time. Hubby stated on day 3 that his side hade been blue ink or something in sink but today clean. Sites are on gravel. Our site level. Friendly host went around asking if anyone wanted firewood for free. Quiet. We heard trains in the distance but far away enough did not disturb sleep. Lots of trees surrounding camp. $25 for full hook ups. Not all sites have new sewer pipes but ours was still okay. Near by is a dog park, a cute play ground that looks new, a disc golf course, fishing pond, hiking, jogging, bike trails. Super Walmart next to Home Depot, Ace hardware. You can see Historic Scotts Bluff. Camp is 20 minutes from historic...

You can find many attractions such as the zoo or YMCA, but I came to take pictures of geese - and I shared a few here. For being within town limits, you really get an "away from it all" feel here. A few people came to fish, others riding bikes along the paved trail or walking, and everyone was incredibly kind and, if you desire, talkative. Fish literally leaped from the river, there were deer, and plenty of ducks and geese in late April. The walking/biking trails probably comprised about 3 miles in total, just an estimate. A beautiful, tranquil scene to get away without going...

I hadn't been back to Scottsbluff in 30 years and most places and and all people I knew were gone. But I did remember the zoo area but didn't know if it would be open at that time in January. Fortunately the drive through the park was open and the path was clear for a walk. I don't remember the path but it may have been there before. But, I got to walk a bit and took some pictures of the monument, and who doesn't. 😁. I'll probably not be returning since my memories of the valley are gone but I'm satisfied with this last short visit and my chance to walk the...
