Riverside Discovery Center – Scottsbluff, NE We visited on an incredibly hot day, so some animals were less active at first, but we were lucky enough to see the tiger and the grizzly bear come out! The crowds were small (almost non-existent while we were there), which made it easy to take our time and enjoy the exhibits.
One tip we learned: the animals definitely notice when staff walk toward their enclosures — they often follow them or come out — so we kept an eye out for staff nearby and got to see more activity that way.

This makes for a subpar visit and they are still charging a premium for less. It is great to see a location so small as Scottsbluff, NE have a facility like this, but I can't honestly rate it any higher right now. Losing all the big cats was a huge hit to the facility. The kids loved feeding the lake animals, my son wanted to get more food to feed the fish. Definitely entertaining. The dino dig area was cute, shaded so huge plus!
The animals were mostly sleeping but we got there around 10:30 so I just figured it was the time of day. Our visit was about an hour and a half. Definitely a lot busier when we...
