I actually am not Catholic. However I've been going there for 20 years. I actually only go there to light prayer candles and have Moments by myself with God. Within the timeline that I've been going there I never been bothered by anyone about the timeline I spend there, even though I don't worship there. Besides the lighting of the candles, they have a beautiful view on the property, with plenty of benches outside to just sit. There is so much to view. It's definitely worth visiting, if anything. I don't know any other Church that allows you to roam the property and doesn't solicit. I am grateful for the moments that I spent meditating and praying there over the years

Excellent in every regard and the on-site gift shop has the best prices of any Catholic item shop I have yet been to. I highly recommend checking that out. There is a wonderful selection of sacraments prayer booklets. Crucifix's made from Jerusalem Olive Wood votive candles and much more. Please do not forget to check out the little Free library out front as well. It is often filled with faith-related material as well

Adore this place. Beautifully kept grounds- a lot of open space with specific devotional area to Padre Pio, stations of the cross, and St. Ann’s Grotto for candle lighting and prayers. Summer novena leading up to the feast day is a special time to behold.

St. Anne’s Shrine/Basilica/Church has always given me a sense of love, faith, hope, contentment, joy and peace. It was always a loving and sacred tradition with my parents bringing me up to St. Anne’s first as a young child.

I have had many prayers answered through the intercession of Good St. Anne and her most hold daughter, Our Lord’s mother, The Virgin Mary.

I thank God for St. Anne’s Basilica and the Passionist Community of priests for their faithful love and commitment to St. Anne’s and the faithful who come there throughout the year.

It is truly a Holy Place. May God bless everyone involved with St. Anne’s Basilica and the faithful who pray and...

Known primarily for its iconic yearly novena, this Romanesque revival style minor basilica is worth a selfie. Once thats out of the way bare your soul to the almighty as you meander over the winding memorial walkway through the 14 stations of the cross. Set on the hillside overlooking Scranton, it is a tranquil setting for inner reflection... especially at sunset. Those searching for daily and weekend masses will be pleased with the plethora of choices. Side note. There is a small but charming religious gift...
