Neahkahnie Viewpoint — Attraction in Seaside

Praise to the Creator because there are not, too many spots on the west coast where you can find this altitude with uninterrupted expensive views of the Pacific Ocean, the full Western Horizon, and (WITHOUT A DOUBT) on any clear evening, be presented with the most Beautiful Live and Breathing picture our Universe, which is said to hold so many stars they are said to outnumber the grains of sands on all of our shores combined. Don't forget that's just our universe. I'm well traveled and especially up and down the West Coast, but this place is one of the best visitor Lookouts I've ever seen, and this definitely equates to one of those places where I know I can't put a number on how many Souls have walked away and never been the same after visiting this place. In essence you are no longer blind, denial is not an option, and you are now without excuse.

To give added bonus, a plethora of us looky-loos, weary travelers, and Die Hard Road Warriors, we're so blessed and thankful to see a small pod of blue whales and specifically a mother and her young calf, which seemed to dance among the waves and parade her around, just long enough so that everybody could get...

Best view in the world! The highway is Aprox 700 Ft above the Pacific at this point. With views of Manzanita and miles of strait sandy beach to the south, Neahkahnie mountain is the highest peak that rises directly out of the ocean on the coast (pretty sure its the highest in the lower 48 states @ 1680 ft). The views are amazing in all directions during the day, but the night sky is unspeakably beautiful here due to the almost complete darkness.
