Hearing so much about Sedona's outdoor stuffs to do, areas to relax by the water, we just had to check it out! • The drive to Sedona from Flagstaff was short and scenic. Seeing all the Ponderosa pine trees and red rocks alltogether is another level. We already planned a couple of places to visit with short hiking trails. Apparently, there's over 400 hiking trails in Sedona, and we didn't plan to do all that. We were not in the mood to hike but weren't in the mood not to either 🤣! We decided to drive to Courthouse Vista, a popular trailhead hub with red rock views. From there we can already see the Courthouse Butte up close but we went climbing up Bell Rock to get a perfect view of the whole Sedona. It did not disappoint! We didn't have to hike all the way up, just turn around and it's right there! Breathtaking, peaceful and we were speechless! We stayed for a few hours and took it all in. • "Thankful for days when my body takes me to places like this. My heart is so grateful every time nature takes my breath away. I can't imagine life not seeing beautiful destinations." • For more outdoor adventures, follow...

We found a parking spot right away on a Saturday morning around 10:30am!! I wasn’t expecting to find a spot and this just to be a photo stop but as soon as we saw it, we snatched it up and ventured off for 2 hours of scenic trails around the Courthouse Butte. So many options of paths to go on so it didn’t feel too too busy. All options were fairly easy with clear marking and great steps/path infrastructure. Bathrooms available were outhouses without running water or hand sanitizer, so bring your own sanitary solutions if you need...

Great trails here and if your a photographer this is one of the places you need to go. Take the Bell Rock Climb trail and you can get high up on to Bell Rock and get an unobstructed view of the valley, the climb takes around an hour from the parking lot and is well worth it. If you plan to hike this hiking boots are highly recommended, the trail up can be extremely rocky and can be challenging at times. I would not recommend trying this one after a rain, it would be extremely...

SEVEN SACRED POOLS — This easy trail takes about 30 minutes to complete, with added time for enjoying the view. The best time to visit the pools is after a rain if you want to see them full with water. But, it’s still gorgeous regardless. HILINE TRAIL — The Hiline Trail has epic views of Bell Rock, Courthouse Rock, and Cathedral Rock. It has a little elevation in the beginning and then mellows out. If you hike this trail at sunset, you’ll have a lot of shade and the rocks will be literally glowing. DOE MOUNTAIN — A full 360 view of Sedona, which is amazing. Doe Mountain has an excellent West-facing view for sunset, and the entire hike is less than two miles round trip. But, there is some light elevation to get to the top of the mesa. CIBOLA PASS — A beautiful lesser-traveled trail that starts from the Jordan Road trailhead. Wander through beautiful red rock scenery with several different formations towering over you. Perfect for the whole family. ANDANTE LOOP — This loop is about 2.2 miles in total and it perfect for a sunset stroll. The trail has hardly any elevation and hugs the side of Thunder Mountain.

Add these five trails to your list! SCORPION TRAIL [ 2.3 miles, 220 feet of elevation ] — This trail is often overlooked by most visitors, but the views of Cathedral Rock from certain parts of this hike are unmatched. It’s an easier one, so make sure you don’t miss it. HILINE TRAIL [ 8.4 miles, 1232 feet of elevation ] — Most people take this trail about two miles in to a viewpoint and then turn around. There’s incredible views of Bell Rock, Courthouse Rock, and Cathedral Rock along the way. SECRET SLICK ROCK [ 0.9 miles, 83 feet of elevation ] — This might be one of the easiest hikes in Sedona, and for the amount of payoff that you get with the view at the end — this one is a must. CIBOLA PASS [ 2.0 miles, 310 feet of elevation ] — Starting at the Jordan Road trailhead, this trail takes you all the way to Devil’s Kitchen where you can connect over to the Seven Sacred Pools. BIRTHING CAVE [ 1.9 miles, 244 feet of elevation ] — One of Sedona’s most famous caves! And the hike is totally doable for everyone in the family. There is some uphill at the very end, but it’s not much.

These four Sedona trails are perfect for intermediate hikers: CATHEDRAL ROCK — This trail is one mile each way, but has a few steep scrambles to get to the top. With some patience and concentration, it’s not too bad. And, once you get to the top, you’ll see why this is one of the most popular trails in Sedona. HILINE TRAIL — Most people take this trail about two miles in to a viewpoint and then turn around. There’s incredible views of Bell Rock, Courthouse Rock, and Cathedral Rock along the way. HANGOVER TRAIL — In total, the loop is nine miles long. But, most people go about three miles in to the saddle to make this a six mile hiking adventure. MESCAL TRAIL — Combine this trail with Deadman’s Pass and Long Canyon to make a five mile loop through gorgeous red rock scenery.
