Getting to submarine rock can be a destination in itself or part of a loop to chicken point from Morgan road. If you want to make this a loop you need to walk on the jeep road which can be busy with vehicles. The rock itself is huge and if you go to the highest point on the north side it has one of the best panoramic views anywhere in Sedona. This can be a busy place due to the bikers and walkers and pink jeep riders but if you catch it at a quiet time it is all the more lovely.

It's a cool little view if you're hiking in the area. I wouldn't necessarily recommend going out of your way to see it, or climb it. I went on a week-day thinking that it wouldn't be very busy, but there were loads of people on it. It doesn't help that there's a jeep tour that drops groups off at the location so you get piles of people at a time. If you're hiking on broken arrow and want a change of scenery, take a little detour to...

Magical place! Beautiful views and great pics. Family friendly it was windy and hot. I recommend going before May and after September. Sedona AZ was pretty packed lots of traffic. You need to planned ahead and make reservations DON'T take a chance on any first come first served you will get frustrated. We did Broken Arrow off road trail and that was pretty cool! You will need 4x4 and...
