Live at The Rudy Theatre — Attraction in Selma

I have visited this place several times in the past. Each time I see new and wonderful things. This time I decided to take my fiance' and let her see first hand the wonderful things we have to offer around here. She is from New Jersey, and she lets me know how much of a country bumkin I really am. I made sure I prepurchases Front row seats in hopes that Hugh or Homer would single her out. I made sure she wore something rather .... "attractive". Sure enough, My Jessica, became the star of the show. Now ofcourse she was extreamly shy and they couldn't get more than her name from her except for many giggles and a couple of snorts in the microphone. I have to say I recieved evil eyes from her all night, but it was the best ever. She really love the show, and still tells me she will get me back, as if i planned the whole thing!!! The Show is GREATEST EVER.... I cant wait until the Christmas show comes out... ...

Walked in and the Ladies at the front desk weren’t very welcoming at all. I was really excited about asking questions about the Isaac’s concert but I left feeling very uncomfortable. Definitely felt like a “whites only” atmosphere. They acted like I was nothing and they were just ready for me to leave. Never going back.

Update: By your response below I can see that you didn’t fully read my comment. You have me mixed up with someone else. I have never been inside the theater to watch a show. I simply stepped into the lobby area as my Husband and I walked by and it was not busy at all. I stepped in to ask a question about an upcoming show and because I was treated badly, I decided I’m not coming to that show in May nor am I ever...

Our church Calvary from Roanoke Rapids N.C. came to the Easter performance on Tues. We were amazed at what could be done with a old theater. I want to thank all the singers and the musicians for the great job. The lighting and the sound only added to the performance and can't wait for our next trip. We came 53 strong and hope next time bring more. As Arnald would say we'll be back. Thanks to Spook he HAD A DREAM and followed Gods lead. You can tell it's blessed by God when you see it. It's heart warming and soul stirring to say the least. My friend and I came to a Christmas show and with he and his brother being vets they were thankful for remembering them. Keep up the good work and we'll see ya soon....
