Beautiful! Tip- don’t park at the nearest parking lot unless you need the bathrooms (pit toilets but they are brand new and clean). Try to park at the first parking lot you come to so you can experience the walk along the west facing ridge. Safe for kids- all fenced off with really nice views of Port Angeles in the distance. Then you can walk down to the spit. Signage was a little confusing at spit- tells you to stay out because of bird area- but we realized they only mean the right (inner) side of the Spit.
