Starting with the positive, overall it was a good time. They definitely let you have fun and that's apparently a good and bad thing. I can tell you as someone who went hard and fast, I almost broke a rib in a wrist go on airborne at the end, and then on the next slide ran into a lady and her daughter Following protocols that we're not very clear. My point is as a general adventure. It was a really good time, and I like the fact that they didn't try to slow you down, but they have a lot of staff there, and most of them are not highly engaging, informative they're just kind of there. They're not rude, they're not overly welcoming, but they just weren't what I would call really helpful. If you didn't ask the right questions they weren't giving you any information. No that aside You're kind of on your own. I mean outside of them yelling what lane should deployed next down the slide, everything else is up to you. I do appreciate that they have the system to kind of escalate you up the mountain to go to the next slide, so in general, I would definitely come back, but they could put a little bit more into the staff experience or let's say customer experience And the infrastructure I mean, essentially at the end of the day, they've got a very basic escalator and lanes have been plowed out to go slide down on tubes. Very simple so I think that they could've spent some more time and energy, possibly little money into the infrastructure and The staffs. Let's call it an engaging attitude. Again, not a bad experience. I would definitely come back and I will come back, and that's how I feel about it. $52 and some change for a two hour ticket, which for me was funny and the people that I was with all agreed two hours is plenty of time. You definitely get to experience everything. You definitely wear yourself out so no issues there and last, but not least, the photo purchase experience. The guy behind the desk was not informative at all. I'm not exaggerating when I say you could easily have to go through 27 pages of photos and each page look at the 12 to 15 photos on there and try to find what you're wearing, and then purchase you know whatever photo and then you do that four times because they take photos at the lift lane and the slides, that's insane to me. You have to spend like another 30 to 45 minutes, finding your photos, because you have to go through hundreds of them, that's that's nuts, they definitely need to answer some kind of ticket system or the very least have some more assistance from the staff. That was completely unacceptable to me And could've easily caused five people in my party not to buy photos but instead I did the work and I spent $40 multiply that five times, and then 500s of people I mean who knows how much money they're losing in...
Read moreOn 7/10/2018 Papa n Gaga did the research to take our 7 year old grandson Cole zip lining in NC. My research lead us to HawksNest. We did the Hawks tour zip line. Our guides Mike and Chloe were absolutely fantastic. Safety was always for most but they gave us the experience of a life time!! This is a first class operation. The price is worth everything you will get from the trip. We plan to bring our other five grandchildren back over Labor Day this year. And will definitely come by ourselves and be able with out a 7 year old to try out some of the other courses. Don’t think because this is the beginners course that you won’t experience a thrill or that it is a short trip. It is not!!! We couldn’t have been more satisfied and wanted to go zipping around the rest of the day!!! Beautiful country! Thanks Mike n Chloe for a superb time and we will request you when we come back with the rest of the grandchildren over Labor Day. The Fowler Family. Well as promised we took our other seven family members up to experience zip lining over Labor Day (September 2) three grandchildren 6,9,12 yrs old and Mom n Dad. We arrived n checked in and as requested we received our same guides as before Mike and Chloe. We we thrilled. It had rained some and the deer were out in full force. The deer just looked up at us as we zipped over them along with several families of turkey. My grandchildren loved it and they were so disappointed when it was all over ( about 2 hours). Violet the youngest wanted to go again and the two older boys are already planning to do other courses next summer. Our son in law Dave was a natural and even my daughter who’s not comfortable with heights had a blast. Of course we were thrilled to be able to share this experience with them and watch the beaming smiles on there faces. Worth every dollar! Wouldn’t consider ever going anywhere else!! Again thanks Mike n Chloe for another great memory. And Mike your one terrific entertaining guide and Chloe you are a pleasure to watch your gracefulness is that...
Read moreVery poor experience, not what you expect when you come with kids and family to have fun and drive 2 hours away. Snow tubing is ok but nothing to “wow” , the place is old and ran down. In the beginning snow was soft do you stop in the middle of the slide and have to walk a lot down, then it became all icy and pretty dangerous. A lot of dirt around. You pay money to have fun and feel safe while having fun - well, this is not the place. The employee deliberately injured me with his leg while I was coming down the slide, instead of apology - I was told that session is over. When we tried to address this with the management, right away several of them became aggressive and told me that I was supposed to stop with my feet at the end of the slide. Well, first of all by the end of our session - everything became ice and it was impossible to stop yourself , this us why at the end of the slide there should soft barrier for the tube to bump in not a person, second of all - if it’s a child coming who has shorter legs, there is no option to stop for that child at all. Employees who work with so many people on a daily basis and suppose to provide safety should at least have compassion and human approach. Managers came off as very rude, unprofessional group of men, protecting their employee and not caring for customers, their safety or their pleasant experience. I had concussion and pretty big bump in the back of my head. I was just offered bag of ice, no apologies (1 of the managers apologized actually at the end) but that was 1 person from 4-5 managers and the employee who actually hurt me. Extremely disappointing experience , there are other wonderful places like Appalachian ski, Beech mountain and Sugar mountain around the area and come and enjoy and have fun. First and last time here. Very poor...
