My cousin had rented a boat for her birthday and the weather wasn't great in the morning so we left to the lake later in the afternoon. We were excited to finally hit the water and the first boat we got wasn't going to its full speed the fastest it was going was 5mph and we had to take up more time to turn back and switch boats, the staff was really helpful and friendly and they mentioned we could have the boat for a bit longer after 7 since the second boat was ready and we had to wait. We were really enjoying our time out in the water and at one point my cousin was waiting for me to open the gate to let her in and the gate was stuck and wouldn't open so everyone had to swim around. I realized the time and decided to turn and got back to the dock around 7:40 and my cousin had went into the office to get settled and while me and my other cousin were walking to our vehicle a gentleman walking his dog ( turns out he was the marina owner ) yelled at us and asked " So who's going to settle this!" And me other cousin caught off guard said that she was already inside waiting to pay. We realized that she was taking a while inside and when she came out she said got yelled at by the Marina owner telling her to just pay and leave and she mentioned that she had to pay $100 more. She's not sure if they're charging her for the time that we were told we could have or because the gate that was already broken. The experience was a good time but just didn't like how my cousin's birthday ended getting yelled at and getting charged more when the worker said it was OK to bring the...
Read moreThe place is cozy, and I loved the boat/beach life theme. Amazing view of the marina, and great music. The menu was to the point, not overloaded with choices (but still had quite a variety) so it was quick to order. The catfish and chicken fried steak was amazing! Perfect spices, no muddiness and tender texture for the fish, and tasty gravy. The coleslaw is the best, and so refreshing! It's actually slaw, not cabbage relish like some places serve. Our server was quite friendly, and most attentive. Definitely...

The problem with this lake is people get together and switch places before the other is moved out. I forgot to pull my tag when I moved and noticed that there was a tent in my old spot. Apparently park rangers don't check tags. This tent was there after I left and new people didn't pay. Guess they know how to...
