We came at 7 on a Friday. There was a few open tables, but it was raining so take it as you will. There is plenty of parking with all of the marina available nearby. The exterior and interior were clean and well decorated. When I found a spot of salsa on the table, they immediately cleaned the whole thing again. The food was excellent. Quality meat, sauces, beans, and rice. My wife thought the salsa had a touch of heat, but not bad. The level of cilantro was subtle (which I appreciate). I had the Fajita burrito and was very satisfied. My wife liked the 3 sauces on the enchiladas Mexicanos, especially the verde. My jalapeño margarita had good hunks of jalapeño, but it tasted more like the Mexican chili candy syrup that lined the rim. I would have preferred a lime and jalapeño flavor and left this candy flavor for the spicy mango margarita. The jumbo was a fair size. The regular 16 ounce was mason jar sized. The staff was attentive and friendly. It was weird having them all sitting at the bar directly behind me since there isn’t an employee section and it was slow, but they weren’t annoying. Just strange to look around at the decorated have them all within arms reach. Prices were a bit high, but I understand. The cost of this location is driving the prices. It wasn’t unreasonable at $16 for my burrito and $13 for my drink, but just be aware that you’re paying for a lakeside meal. Overall, we were both very satisfied with our meal and experience and have nothing negative to say.

We went last night, food was good, menu was a great selection. We fed our family of 4 for around $60... The second night we just got guacamole, queso, and 2 in the rocks margaritas... The margaritas were blended which im not a fan of and the portions were ridiculously small for queso and guacamole... and it cost $50!?!

What can I say I was at the lake and had Mexican food. Two of my favorite things! I had the Carne Asada tacos and they were in the top 3 I have ever had! The prices are just right and the atmosphere and service were perfect!

We came out last night for a birthday dinner for my elderly mother, we were less than impressed. We were a party of 12 with reservations. We get here at our reservation time and they didn’t have our table ready, there was only one other table occupied in the restaurant. It was very hot in the building (it felt like the heat was o), the wonderful waitress told us the AC has been broken “for quite a while”. If we were sweating just sitting there, I couldn’t imagine how the kitchen staff was tolerating it with the heat radiating from the appliances back there. We suggested opening the doors to the back and the patio, the doors were never opened. My wife goes to use the rest room and the women’s restroom was spraying water everywhere. Our food finally came out and it was not good. The only flavour any of us could taste was salt, if you like salt, this is definitely the place for you! Honestly, we felt there was nothing special about the place, it is the exact same food as any of the other “sit down” “family recipe” Mexican restaurants, except a lot saltier, more expensive and 20 miles out of town requiring a park permit to eat there. We have family who lives close and have visited nearly every concept that has been tried in this building, but we will probably not be returning to this...

So, I'm kind of wary about Mexican restaurants. I like Mexican food a lot but it seems like a lot of tex-mex style restaurants have food that all tastes the exact same and, unfortunately, bland and generic. But we did our taxes tonight and as a reward, we went to go get margs and dinner and Las Palomas.

And man, that was a good decision. They don't have the liquor license yet, which is a bummer because their margs look like they're going to be really good, but the food was easily worth the visit. The chips were warm and the salsa was perfect, not too hot but still really flavorful. We got fajitas jalisco and every part of the dish was fantastic. The rice was flavorful and perfectly cooked, not dry at all, the beans were really savory and good, the guac was light and refreshing and awesome and the meat and peppers were seasoned beautifully. People that don't do well with spice will do fine with the food and for those who do want spice, the salsa is pretty great and there's plenty of Tapatio on hand.

The service was also really good and SUPER fast, especially for how good it was. The restaurant looks fantastic too, everything is super bright and clean...
