A must stop to see a perspective of the loss and sacrifice of US soldiers of Iraq and Afghanistan wars. 7054 flags represent each of the lives that were lost(during wartime). There is plenty of parking, and the park itself is small (2 handicapped spots). There is a brewey right next to the park, so if needed overflow parking. The path is hard packed gravel (you could use a wheelchair or walker) it is @100 ft to the memorial. Along the way, there are story boards with local soldiers, statistics, etc. You are not allowed to walk on the field where the flags are placed. To each side, there are a couple of chairs to sit and reflect. There is also a covered table that has books with all the names of each soldier that has died. The park is free of charge; has a donation box or a QR code to make a donation.

My daughter and I had a lovely experience visiting the memorial. The gentleman that walked us through and gave us information on the memorial was kind and very informative. I was able to read a friend's name who was KIA in Iraq June 2005. Seeing all 7,055 flags was a somber but heartwarming experience. If you're in the area or visited the Flight 93 Memorial, I highly recommend stopping by as it's so close to the Memorial, just across the way.

It’s easy to miss but well worth the stop. For those familiar with the Vietnam wall, this has a similar significance. Over 7,000 flags are placed in the ground representing all service members who died in honor of our country. They have a book listing all the names represented in the field. There I was able to pay honor to a classmate lost during the war on terror. Worth the stop and hope to see it become more special than it is now.

What's different about this Post-9/11 memorial from others is that it's built under the very sky the first battle was fought against terrorism in American air on Flight 93, September 11th. While the Flight 93 park honors the heroes that fought and died that day, Patriot Park honors all the lives lost in the 20 years that followed during the Global War on Terrorism. The Field of Heroes display is both powerful and heartbreaking, I highly recommend stopping in to experience this place for yourself and checking out the website to contribute however you are able. These men and women deserve to be remembered, their names and stories deserve to be spoken and shared...

Touching and moving. Since the September 11th attacks, 7,055 men and women died fighting in America's longest war and each of these losses has a small Americans flag planted in this humble little memorial. Also heartbreaking, 30,000+ took their own lives since 9/11. They were sons, mothers, cousins, best friends, etc. Did they all die in vain? Did we accomplish what we wanted to accomplish in going to war since those airplanes were highjacked? Did the American people hold their elected leaders responsible if need be? A person considers these and other questions as a field of silent flags testifies to our...
