Quarry Lake in Shakopee offers an unforgettable biking experience with its awe-inspiring scenery and versatile trail options. Nestled amidst nature's beauty, this bike trail provides an escape from the city hustle and transports you to a serene oasis. The trail is conveniently divided into two options: an easy trail and an intermediate trail, both of which can be seamlessly switched between. The easy trail offers two different paths to choose from. The first option spans 0.8 miles, making it perfect for a quick ride or beginners looking for a shorter route. The second option extends to 2 miles, allowing for a more substantial biking adventure while still maintaining a manageable distance. The highlight of Quarry Lake's bike trail is undoubtedly its stunning surroundings. As you pedal along, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the lake, lush greenery, and captivating wildlife. The scenic beauty provides a tranquil atmosphere that rejuvenates the mind and soul. To reach Quarry Lake, the easiest way is to use a navigation service like Google Maps and search for "Quarry Lake." However, please note that this search will show the Xcel Energy Bike Trailhead, which is not the easiest entrance to the trail. Keep in mind that there is no designated parking area, if you ho to the trailhead, you will have to go to xcel energy bike trail parking, so plan accordingly. Overall, Quarry Lake in Shakopee offers a fantastic biking experience with its picturesque scenery, well-maintained trails, and the flexibility to switch between easy and intermediate routes. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned rider, this trail is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable biking adventure in a beautiful natural setting and yes there are restrooms:)

The playground is untraditional and very cool for climbers. It is not great for younger kids, but it is labeled as 5-12, so that's no surprise. There are these 4 structures: 2 climbing and 2 swings. My 3yo loved the black hanging swing because it moved in unpredictable ways. I rode the other side opposite him, and just pulled on the other side and he liked all of it. For that swing alone we will come back. We enjoyed seeing trains go by and stop, but then got stuck on Stagecoach for a stopped train which was not as fun!

A quiet park nestled in and around Shakopee’s industrial park, offering two real activities: boating and MTB. Although overall a short and compact course, the MTB track packs in a lot in that space: beginner, intermediate, and even some short advanced in-line sections that loop together allowing riders to easily repeat tracks or move on to the next. This is a great option for those just starting out in MTB and looking to practice essential skills or for a quick ride to keep more advanced skills fresh.
