Overall, really good trails for the flat terrain of the area and the space they had to work with. Keep this in mind with the criticisms that follow.
Signage: very limited, tiny signs at forks between green and blue, too late to change your mind at a regular speed. Bigger, clearer signs placed 20 feet earlier would be a huge improvement. After a couple trips through the loop you won't need the signs any more, but on your first pass you will get surprises. I wouldn't make your first visit on a busy Saturday.
Difficulty rating: the green and blue trail segments aren't that different from each other. A lot of the green trail is on the difficult side for beginner or kid-friendly riding. The blue trail is mostly correct but on the harder end in spots with log jumps, log skinnies, and some other technical features. Worst of all, the "green" loop around the lake really isn't, about 80% of it is easy green but it has downhill switchbacks that aren't really a beginner feature. If you aren't super comfortable with those just take the paved path back instead.
Berms: lots and lots of cornering berms, really fun. Most of them are spot on, but a few are misshaped or eroding in ways that will send you flying if you try them at speed. Maybe they just need spring maintenance. One of them also has a 6" tree a few feet away from where you'll go off the path if you misjudge it - this is on the main...
Read moreFun new trail! While it’s not super long, the entire thing has plenty of flow, loads of berms, rollers and jumps that make it fun to session multiple times.
My 7yr old and I rode the whole thing multiple times and he was able to ride almost all of it. Still a couple tree skinnies that are legit challenging. I find it to be a great addition to the southwest of the cities. I am excited to see how they evolve this trail in the years to come.
A couple of opportunities do exist. There was some washout on some of the berms/rollers/jumps and some pretty loose gravel in spots. All of which will eventually get worked out as the trail is used and matured.
I tip my hat to those that made this trail...
Read moreThey did an absolutely fantastic job with the space. But most importantly, I believe I read that the trail was engineered as such that it will very seldom if ever need to be closed for wet conditions...so a HUGE yay!!! The entire trail is about 4.75 miles and has about 160 ft of elevation. The track is a bit loose in spots and some of the signage still appears to be temporary in nature, but this should only improve with time. Thanks to all that were involved in making...
