Lovely wooded park with a variety of trail terrain. About 2.5 miles to walk the outer loop, but it could have easily been longer if I had time to explore some of the off shoots and connecting paths. Very few people, great water access, beautiful views, and even a relatively short but pretty steep section that provided a nice little challenge with a good view. The first half of the big loop, the non lake side, is a flat packed gravel path thats very easy to walk and basically flat. The lake side is absolutely gorgeous but very steep with lots of roots and gravel, so wear appropriate shoes. Some of the steep section is very loose and it's easy to slide. The best view is not quite at the top, but it's gorgeous and worth the exertion. The inner trails offer many other options to explore. The parking lot is large, dogs on leash are welcome. Definitely recommended for an easy but beautiful hike near Burlington. Take a picnic (take out your trash) and enjoy an hour to...

I would recommend wearing appropriate hiking shoes if you are going to do the whole trail. Couple of picnic tables near the parking area. Great views...
