Hawn Park — Attraction in Sherman

This little park has hosted 5 of my daughters birthdays and one for my son. During the summer months the splash pad is an amazing FREE activity for moms and dad's and a FREE party place! All they ask is you pick up after yourself and keep it clean!

The skate park is a little rough but they have 2 parks (one very new) along a well kept, paved path for you to walk or run on. Great area for volleyball as they have a sand pit, but a huge area for soccer, football, even baseball for younger children. This is our go to...

It's a really nice big park. Many things one can do, play on the splash pad area, swings, playground, big open field for kite flying, go for a run and little area for skateboarding. They finally took the fence off from around it. Before it seemed scary and like the same group of skaters were always there. Now other kids feel free to go and skate in there. Plenty of shady trees around the park. The restrooms are the only other slight downside. A bit smelly/ dirty. But overall...

I have been going to Hawn Park for 35 years. I got my first scar in the middle of my forehead from falling in the parking lot LOL. Now I'm bringing my own children to the park that now has been updated and a splash park has been added. There's a paved trail around the park as well. Also has a skatepark. All around good place for the kids. I do not like the giant 10foot rock that the kids get on top of and always want help getting down. It would be...
