Nice, newer park. Bathrooms were nice, there was a pavilion with lots of picnic tables and a setup for soccer games/concessions. They have several playground items that are built into created hills, like a tunnel and slide. Splash pad looked like fun, but too cold to use it. There's a toddler/little kid playground and a separate one for older kids, but the older kid one was only good for shorter kids up to maybe age 8. Many items were too short for older kids and there wasn't any complexity - climb up, go down the slide. The only fun thing for older kids was a spiders web-type piece. We passed through on a trip, but not sure we'd stop again with our 6, 8 and 10 year-olds unless it was warm enough for the splash pad. It was clear the park was designed to entice young families to move the newer subdivisions nearby, and there were lots of young families there, but they need to add a ninja-style challenge or something for the 10-16 crowd. Little did I know at the time they would make it a destination for people in the valley. I wish the Village would put the effort they did in this park for the original part of Sherwood. It saddens me to see the top of the hill forgotten about especially with the loving history and future...
Read moreGreat facility. It was clean, with lots of activity. Kids played on the playset and used the slash pad. We used the shelter for supper. It was windy so we lowered the side panels and it provides great wind block. Bathrooms were also clean. Very pleased....
