Visited the outpost on 6/19/19 with my husband. I am giving 2 stars because the food was good. However, we were extremely disappointed by the unprofessionalism that was demonstrated by the owner. We dined at a table near the salad bar. We could over hear a lot of the “action,” if you will, that occurred in the kitchen. The door to the kitchen was punched. We heard banging and yelling for a few minutes and it was very concerning. The faces of the staff showed nothing but embarrassment and fear. Approximately ten minutes later this individual came out of the kitchen and was behind the bar. This was when we realized that it was the owner. My husband and I quickly paid and left. I will not be returning. I was very fortunate that my children were not with. Not a family friendly restaurant, or a restaurant to visit if you want your meal to be interrupted. I will be sharing my experience with my friends, family, and neighbors as we live a few minutes away. The owner will end up scaring away his own business! I would appreciate a phone call with an apology and an explanation as to why this occurred and ruined our evening. Plenty of other delicious restaurants in sherwood such as Planque! Family friendly...
Read moreIf you want a safe environment during the pandemic, this is not the place to be. We visited this establishment on 10-2-20 and their social distancing and trying to keep people safe is a joke. They made sure they posted on their door that mask are required but if you have a medical condition for not wearing a mask you are welcome to come in. Hard to believe that out of 50 or so people there 49 had medical conditions so no mask being worn. Hard to believe every one of the bartenders had medical conditions so none of them wore a mask. Hard to believe that 100% of the wait staff had medical conditions that did not require them to wear a mask. Hard to believe that other staff running orders and cleaning tables all have medical conditions so none were wearing mask. This place when it comes to safe dining and social distancing is a joke. When the owner of the Outpost flaunts his disregard for the pandemic rules and protocols because of his political views and the greed for money, he is doing a disservice to his patrons, his employees and to the community. I will never support him in his endeavor and you...
Read moreThis place is hit or miss on Sunday morning regarding how packed it is in there due to their omelet and bloody Mary specials. Price is what you would expect for those specials. My husband and I each got both, and the bill came to a little over $40 for the 2 of us. It's well worth it if the place is not packed. You get to choose what you want inside your omelet, which gets cooked right in front of you. You also have the option to grab a couple of side dishes that come included with the BYO omelet (French toast sticks and breakfast potatoes). The bloody Mary special comes out to you by a waitress with the vodka and ice. Then you go by the side bar area and pick any kind of mix and every topping you can throw onto as many skewer sticks as you want: bacon cheeseburger slider, chicken wings, mini corn dogs, mini meatballs, jumbo devained shrimps, bacon, beef jerky, cubed cheese, pickled eggs/mushrooms/asparagus/green beans/olives/Brussel sprouts, pickles, and I'm sure I'm missing a few extra other toppings. So, overall, food, atmosphere, and service are well...
