Loved this! Doug and Ike were the Belgian team that pulled our covered wagon, and they were consummate professionals. They were also quite handsome to look at as well! The horses were in good working weight and muscle, and appeared to be well groomed and well cared for. I wanted to ask the tour leaders how long the farm keeps their horses, but I forgot. I did however notice some pictures on their Facebook page of Doug and Ike from previous years, so I'm hoping that means their horses have long-term homes. I saw nothing to suggest otherwise, and I was very happy with my first impressions in terms of animal care.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and talkative, but not overly so that it negatively affected the ride. The covered wagon was really beautifully designed and built, and was more comfortable than I expected. The old rail trail that we followed was incredibly well-maintained, even after the huge rainfall we got recently from the remnants of hurricane Ida. The farm had a picnic pavillion area where everyone could congregate while waiting for the ride to begin as well as two large porta-potties.

Overall, we were very happy with the covered wagon tour, and it was well...

What a great time with our Belgians horse team of Jerry & Jake, our driver Chris, and our guide Jim. I was so impressed with our horses. At only 4 years old (young for a draft horse), they were so well trained & calm, even when canyon rescue vehicles passed by us to attend to an emergency somewhere in the canyon. And they loved having their pictures taken! Chris gently & lovingly had them in control at all times. And Jim was so knowledgeable and a ton of fun! He interacted with the guests the entire time. Informative & enjoyable, not a typical "stale & rehearsed" tour guide. He loved answering all of our questions & was passionate about what he was doing and about caring for the horses. We were celebrating our 39th anniversary that day and really enjoyed the 2 hour trip. I wish we were there on a Wednesday to take the 3 hour waterfall tour. Next time I guess! Our group aged 10 to 70 & was a fun activity for all ages. No wildlife sightings on this tour but it wasn't for lack of looking. The morning tour spotted the bald eagles. Beautiful scenery and would love to see it during...

The Pa Grand Canyon is very beautiful. the Ole Covered Wagon Tours was GREAT. The horses are BEAUTIFUL, The wagon itself was Great, with Nice big soft cushioned seats. It was a very comfortable ride. Jim the storyteller on our wagon was EXCELLENT !!, he told us the history of the area as well as, handing out 8.5 x 11 photos of the area. the history is very cool. his interaction with the people on the wagon was the best. We all laughed so many times. He also was very helpful in helping me and others that had trouble walking get into the wagon. there are nice low steps to get into the wagon. Unfortunately, i forgot the lady's name that was the driver but she did a GREAT job, the ride is very gentle. The wagon ride goes along a creek so you can see some wildlife you are allowed and encouraged to bring water and drinks, nonalcoholic, and snacks if you are visiting the area, i highly recommend the Ole Covered Wagon Tour WE HAD A GREAT TIME. THANK YOU...

We took a magical covered wagon ride tour into the valley of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. This two hour horse drawn excursion down the Pine Creek Trail is run by Ole’ Covered Wagon Tours - a family owned and operated business that truly knows the history of the canyon. From the moment you pull up the ranch, you feel as if you have stepped back in time. The tour guides are fun and entertaining and tell you all about the history of the surrounding area as you sit back and enjoy the spectacular views around you. Wagon ride sell out quickly (and we can totally understand why), so make sure to make your reservations early if you are planning a trip to the Potter-Tioga area. I am so glad that the @visitpottertioga visitor center suggested this fun experience to us! It has been the highlight of our trip and is one we will never forget!

If there's one thing you do on your trip to the Potter-Tioga County area, it has to be the Ole Covered Wagon rides that takes you through the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon on the Pine Creek Rail Trail. Our tour guide, Jim, was incredibly knowledgable about the area while also making the trip a fun one. He even got the group to sing 'Happy Birthday' to me and a couple other people on the ride. We saw a wide variety of birds including ospreys, ducks, and geese, and Jim made sure we didn't miss any of it by stopping and letting us get pictures. He also gave us directions on how to get to Barbour Rock to have an eagle's eye view of the Grand Canyon, which I would highly recommend if you are out this way anyway. If I were to come back for a tour, I'd love to do the Waterfalls ride. Thank you Jim and Shannon for the memorable time!

A great “hidden gem” outside of Wellsboro, Pa. It’s a unique experience! You get to ride in a covered wagon drawn by two Belgian horses. They take you down thru the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Jim gave us a great history lesson about the canyon. The canyon is also used by hikers and bikers on the Pine CreekRail Trail. You may want to try fly fishing or kayaking. The covered wagon tours start in May-Oct. You can bring your horses and camp beside his property. It’s a primitive site. There are plenty of trails to enjoy. You can schedule a bus tour with a covered wagon lunch. The fee for the tour is Adults $50-$40, child $25-$20. They have porta-potties to use. There is a small store for snacks. The parking lot is adequate. You may see a eagle so bring your camera! The guys are great! It’s definitely a unique experience!
