This park has a nice selection of wild areas, trails, water features, play areas, and more! We took a couple of young kids, 2 and 4, and did the large loop trail around the park periphery. Walking around by the creek and lake was great! Many areas of the trail are definitely in need of maintenance from washouts. Some trails were closed from erosion and tree falls. The area around the play fields need quite a bit more invasive removal and forest restoration. They could also use at least 2 more restroom and water locations due to the size of the park. On a nice sunny spring day, the trails were somewhat crowded. There are lots of social trails and spurs to pull off to the side, though. The biggest issues were off-leash dogs and dog waste on the trail. There's a dedicated off-leash area, which these small children would have appreciated being exclusively used for off...

This is a large park. Open areas for sports. Lots of trails. If you go on the trails, be warned that not all of them are on the map and not nessesaraly well marked. I tried to follow one and got "lost" 3 times. Lost is reletive as you can either go in the general direction you were aiming for and find a well marked path, or back track to the last known good place. One of the trails is "closed" for good reason, it is very much washed out. Still if you don't mind wading the stream, or scrambling up and down the semi-steep bank, you can find your way. Many of the trails are rugged, steep, and kinda difficult, but not all. There is baseball fields, soccer field, tennis courts, bathrooms, water fountains, playground equipment, and lots of parking. However the parking is in different areas around the park so if it is busy, you may need to...

Good place to call if need a place in a pinch. Very nice lady in the office. Room was nice. We couldn't get the television to work and The lady came and took it off the programming to television setting by the last person that stayed. The only negative is that the floors were really, really dirty. Didn't know when the floors, including the disability bathroom, had been mopped or the carpet cleaned last. We got there later in the evening so didn't use the pool. It's located in the back of the hotel. The rooms have a door to go out to the pool so you don't have to go out front and around the back to get...

Nicely maintained trails to walk around on. It wasn’t too crowded and parking on the street was easy and close. Stick to the main trails unless you don’t mind getting a little dirty. It’s a little hilly, so ok for kids who have lots of energy, but maybe not great for those of all ages who aren’t as steady on their feet. I heard a couple of owls, saw a rabbit and could hear lots of birds chirping. Overall, this was a very fun and easy almost-hike.
