Our stay was at 960 Spirea in Golf Villas at Torreon #17. This is a three bedroom, two story unit part of a duplex. Our son was attending a business conference and we were along with daughter-in-law and grand children as back up baby sitters.||||The location is a quiet venue on the premises of a golf course that also has primary and secondary homes owned by individuals. There are no elevators in this unit. The main floor consisted of kitchen, dining/living area, gas fireplace, small patio, flat screen television, large leather couch and easy chair and two bed rooms with full baths. The master bedroom and upstairs bedrooms featured king size beds with the secondary bedroom having a double bed. The bath rooms for the secondary bedroom and for the upstairs bedroom were separate rooms. A sitting area on the second floor had addition seating and a flat screen television. A small balcony is off the upstairs bedroom. Cable television provided a typical wide variety of non-premium channel selections.||||Kitchen appliances were full size and the unit was equipped similar to a timeshare and suitable for light meal preparation similar. A garbage disposal and automatic dish washer were nice kitchen features. A washer and dryer were in the hallway leading to the secondary bedroom. Service for 6 was provided.||||Beds were comfortable although some members thought some of the pillows a bit too thick for their tastes. The unit has central heating and cooling. The elevation of about 6400 feet met we had cool evenings and modest daytime temperatures.||||This is a great location for the golfers in the family and for youngsters. A family center located on the sprawling grounds had video games, crafts, play ground equipment, tennis courts and a small catch and release fishing pond. The video games were at no charge to guests. An equestrian center is on the 1400 acre property.||||We ate at the grill in the main club house and found the Caesar salad and spaghetti and meat balls to be rather bland items.||||Green report: If there is any effort at conservation or recycling it is not evident to the visitor. There were no CFL's or any provisions to recycle any items in the unit.||||The website is:...

Read moreGolfed here with a friend who is a member. Beautiful and challenging golf course. Only complaint would be about the constant hounding by the ranger to play faster. He would tell us we were falling behind only to find ourselves waiting to hit on the next tee. He did this 4 or 5 times during the round even telling us to hit into the group ahead of us. I'm guessing he was saying the same to the group behind us because they did hit into us...striking a member of our group in his leg. Not a very professional ranger...
