We just ate at torreon, and it, in my opinion, was not worth it. The service is terrible. I had to use the bathroom, and 3 of the waitresses came in, used the bathroom, and didn't wash their hands. I was shocked they just walked right out. We were seated and given the menus immediately, but nobody came back for 30 minutes. The only reason we got a waitress was because the manager or chef im not sure who he was came to check on our table. He was nice and seemed to care about our experience there. He then sent a waitress to us after being surprised nobody had talked to us. it still took her another 5+ minutes to come over to us after being told to. She took our order, and we literally never saw her again after she dropped our drinks off. We needed water, and again, the only reason we got any was because the manager/chef came to talk to us again. The man who brought us water was rude, and we could hear him and his coworker complaining about bringing us water. When he did bring the water over after complaining, he was so pretentious about it. it was just uncomfortable having someone serve you when you just heard them complain about having to do it. I guess I should have read the other reviews before we went because they are not wrong. The servers are NOT GOOD. The only redeeming thing was the manager/chef, and the food was good. Otherwise, this place sucked the service is terrible. We could hear the male servers talking about us and the other guest too. So again, to sum it up, good food, horrible wait staff. I wouldnt eat here again especially after they didnt wash their hands and hearing the men talking about the customers. Waste of $150 if you ask me.

We celebrated our anniversary with friends at Torreon Grille, in Show Low. and had a fantastic evening. We sat outside and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and perfect weather. The food and our server (Ryan) were excellent from start to finish. We started with the focaccia and artichoke fritte and sauces—both we’re fresh and flavorful. All our main courses were fantastic - the braised beef cheek was incredibly tender, the pollo arrosto with creamy mascarpone polenta was delicious, and the pan-seared scallops were perfectly cooked and flavorful. Finally, dessert was a treat. The tiramisu was light and creamy, the hazelnut crunch and spumoni gelato were rich and delicious, and the pecan chocolate torte was great way to end our meals. We also really appreciated a visit from Chef Eric and Director Scott who both took time to check in and say hello. A great dining celebration and we’re looking forward to visiting again.

Food. The appetizer , the soup, and the meal arrived within a minute of each other. I had specifically asked for the appetizer first but received the soup and appetizer at the same time. The meal one minute later. Soup is too salty. The artichoke appetizer is okay , i was expecting better. The gravy that came with the pork tenderloin was also too salty as if it came out of a jar. However, the Tenderloin was cooked perfectly.

We ate at the Torreon Grill for the first time this evening with 2 other couples. To say it was OUSTANDING is not giving a proper review of our dining experience! I wish I had a better word to use because the restaurant went far above our expectations. 4 out of the 6 people ordered the scallops. Totally in heaven with that meal! My husband had the short ribs which looked SO GOOD. He said it was the VERY BEST. Another person ordered salmon and a salad. The piece of Salmon was HUGE...so much so...that half of that entree went to her husband and he was one happy camper. The manager came by our table, Scott Wadel , (as I saw he did with every table that I could view) and introduced himself to all of us and asked how our meal was. Well, he got an earful of praise because no one was disappointed. We spoke for our very pleasant and informative wait person, Hannah, and how she had taken care of every detail for our meals. She was gracious and so thorough to check back several times to make sure everything was fine and did we need more water..etc. We will make sure we ask for Hannah when we return for our next meal...which WILL happen as soon as we can get our MAS group together again. That stands for Mutal Admiration Society (in other words..the best of friends). Thank you for making this evening so...

Visiting Show Low, AZ for a 4 day holiday weekend. Staying in the Torreon development and chose to enjoy dinner at Torreon Grille for our family of 7. Saw signs at each neighborhood entrance and 4 adults reviewed this place in advance while making a mutual decision to give it a try. While driving there, good luck finding signage to locate it. Being able adults, we thought maybe it would be near the golf course and clubhouse and fortunately we figured it out without any apparent signs. I went in ahead of our group to verify we were in the right place, and also to be sure they could seat us without a reservation. It was 4 p.m. and hours posted were from 11 to 9. I was told yes, so the rest of the group parked and came in. Now, we were advised that they couldn’t begin serving food for another hour. Have you ever waited that length of time with 3 HUNGRY kids under 7? Yeah, you get the idea. And oh yeah, now they’re only providing a prime rib BUFFET, and only $55 per person (except the littlest children). Hmmmm…..ALL of that would have been good to know IN ADVANCE. I guess they might have forgotten to post anything online, or on signage, or provide verbally when I first approached and asked. Needless to say, we spent our money...
