Dean park is the main park of SHREWSBURY town. I love going here for my walk any time of the day as it is near to where I stay. There is the main pond with so many geese whom you can see throughout the year. They claim there is a fountain but I haven’t seen it working in the last two years that is very disappointing.
Trail / walking 🚶♀️- yes you can go round the pond and it is very relaxing. The only downside I see that parts of the park road is narrow and is shared by car and Walkers. This makes us remain always cautious while walking with kids.
Kids play ground is ok. Tennis 🎾 play ground, basket ball court , volleyball court, baseball ⚾️ ground is busy as per the season.

Read moreDean Park in Shrewsbury, MA I grew up in Shrewsbury. So this park is still one of my favorites. Although it has had a few changes over the years, they are good changes. Upgrades to their playground. Like a huge sandbox, swings for every age group, even a handicap swing. Two separate slide/climbing gyms for younger and older children. The playground also has a chained link fence surrounding the playground so the children are safe. This park also has four basketball hoops, tennis courts, and several ball fields where games are played often. Public bathrooms and several pavilions for use too. A natural pond with fountains that dance to music from your car radio, very cool to watch and listen. Also, a natural brook that leads to the pond. You can reserve a Pavillion for family gatherings/picnics by contacting Shrewsbury Parks & Recreation. I recommend this family park...
