Brown Parade Field — Attraction in Sierra Vista

There's a great view of the historical buildings and surrounding mountains. If you have the opportunity to see a ceremony with the calvary charge in it, I definitely recommend it! You get a a little taste of History. There are not many structures on this area; just a gazebo is there year-round to shelter you from the weather. It can certainly be very hot when it's sunny, and very cold when the weather turns. Many think since it's Arizona it must be hot all the time, but since it's had such a high elevation and stays quite a bit cooler than other areas...

Been on this parade field since 1989, but it has been here since the 1800s, much history behind this field along with some of the original wooden barracks, which are offices for quite some time. Fort Huachuca has an amazing history and if you visit, you have to go to the museums for the history of the fort and the history of military...

Lots of ants if you are trying to have a picnic. Enjoyed watching the Company B Troop practice. You can get the kids to take a nap after running it a few times. Beautiful view of the mountains and a snapshot of Old Post Ft. Huachuca and how it looked during the Buffalo...
