Y’all… THIS WAS SO STEEP! The trail heads down immediately and had a convenient sign letting you know how far each landmark was. My partner and I decided to just walk to the falls (0.9 miles), as we’d already hiked Raccoon Mountain that morning. It was absolutely stunning - both the waterfall and the view from it. The trail had a couple fallen trees that we had to mambo under in order to get there. If you’re planning to do this trail, I suggest preparing yourself for quite a climb and a lot of fallen trees. And of course, spectacular views. If you aren’t one for super steep climbs and stairs, I recommend doing Raccoon...

However, whoever said in the reviews that it's easily accessible for people of all ages must love the idea of tricking old people and babies. The initial descent is down a series of steps that are not in the best condition, and you definitely need to be steady on your feet, since some railings are unstable and some steps are missing portions of wood. Everything is probably structurally sound, though... Probably. Anyway, highly recommend for people who have good balance and shoes...

As soon as you start its 100ft down steep stairs and ramps, then navigating rocks and roots. The overlook has no safeguards so he careful with the cliff. As we were sitting enjoying the view, someones offleash dog ran up to us followed by like 4 kids under 9 running around playing. We saw there parents a minute back up the trail as we were leaving.
