Signal Point has a beautiful view that is very close to the on site parking lot. From there, you can enjoy the view from the viewpoint or make use of the covered picnic area. The picnic area is small, so there's a good chance it'll fill up quick. They do have restrooms on site as well. This connects to several trailheads which can lead all the way to Mushroom Rock. While it isn't a loop trail, you can hike a few miles to the other parking lot, then "hike" the road back which takes about 7 minutes. The view from Signal Point is different than the views you'll find on Lookout Mountain as these have less building and homes obstructing the mountain views. Totally...

I really enjoyed this walk—great views and a peaceful atmosphere. The trail to Julia Falls Overlook was a bit sketchy in parts, especially where the wooden stairs could use some maintenance. That said, it’s still very doable if you’re careful.
Just a heads-up: Julia Falls Overlook doesn’t really overlook the falls unless you squint—they’re quite far away. But honestly, the view itself is the real highlight, and it’s worth the walk regardless.

Read moreThis park has amazing views! if you are a good hiker and your knees are in good shape, then you will also love the trails! The are on very rugged terrain but again, what a special place walking along the sides of this dramatic mountain. At one point I could see a ten story tall waterfall on the other side of the gorge and was told that if you keep going on the tail (6+ miles) you eventually end up right next to the very same waterfall! I'd love to see that but for me, I walked as far as I could before having to turn around. It's a hard, rugged trail but it's amazingly beautiful...
