Northshore Scenic Lookout — Attraction in Silver Bay

Had extra time on a trip and decided to check out the lookout. Followed the signs from 61 to the parking lot. Great signage - it was clear and didn't get lost along the way. The parking lot was spacious and signs at the parking lot and along the trail were very easy to understand. The trail was well maintained and easy to navigate. There were two dedicated spots to lookout and then one spot created by frequent visitors. For an early Spring visit, you could see pretty far into the horizon including Palisade Head. We had but a very short time on the Northshore. This was a quick way to get a great overlook view. It has some walking trails to get out to see a view but one view right from the parking area looks out over the plant and the harbor. I would have loved to be able to see the plant when it was working! Great views of Lake Superior. We did not walk the entire loop since we were limited on time so we did not see from the town overlook but it is definitely worth going up and...

This was an ok little stop. It feels a bit like it has become a little neglected as the paths were becoming overgrown.
