Dillon Dam Overlook Day Use Area — Attraction in Silverthorne

This is such a beautiful location that if others had not already posted about it, I would seriously consider keeping it to myself. My wife said this while we were walking along the bike and footpath along the dam. People in Europe go to other countries to see places like this, but in the USA we're rather spoiled because we can travel entirely within our own borders and see some of the jewel landscapes and vistas of the world.

She's right. Lake Dillon isn't too big, or to small, and by the look of it the town councils of Silverthorne, Keystone and Dillon all realize what they have, and are taking the right steps to preserve it.
