Tuthill Park — Attraction in Sioux Falls Township

Tuthill has a great sledding hill for winter, which divides the upper and lower parts of the park. There is a playground on both parts (upper and lower). You may be able to spy deer in the woods.

Often, balloonsists will take off from this park.

There is also a walking/biking/skating path that is on the other side of the river (where deer is often seen at dawn or dusk) and this is a part of the trail system ("Greenway") that follows the river throughout the city. You can easily get to Spencer Park or Paisley Park from here and follow the Greenway in an about 18 mile circle through the city.

There is a baseball field, but the disc golf course seems to be the most popular and busiest part of the park in the summer, which starts out at the top of the park.

There is also a flower garden and there have been many weddings there.

This is a very nice park with a couple distinct areas. The river bottom and then the "up top". Playground areas in both areas. Shelter up top. It appeared to have some hiking trails. There is a big sledding hill.

The park is well cared for. Nice and clean. Lots of trash cans with tops.

I cannot comment on the bathrooms as I did not use them.

There is a popular disc golf course in this park.....which is why I went to it. The course is probably 3.25 stars out of 5. The course is pretty repetitive but does have a few nice holes. Course is somewhat difficult to know which distance you are playing. Most tees have two distances.....but no individual map layout at the tee. I had my laser rangefinder which helped a lot.....but there were a couple blind shots where you had no idea unless you walked way up the hole...

My daughter got married there this week and we were very disappointed. They said they would have the house open at four. We were all there at 4 o’clock with our bags to get dressed and it was locked tight. We had to make phone calls, finally some old guy that barely moved came with the key to let us in and when we got inside, it was so hot, no air it finally cooled down when the wedding was over Very disappointed with the communications. We had 15 minutes before the wedding started for everyone to get ready and we were all so hot and sweaty by the time we got our dresses on and people that were waiting outside for the wedding to start. We’re wondering why we were running so late. They also were hot and sweaty. We would not promote this...
