Bippo's Place for Smiles — Attraction in Slidell

Normally the receptionist is pleasant but today she was very rude. My son had chipped his front tooth and we saw the dentist and she scheduled our appointment to fix the tooth. We had a previous appointment scheduled for another procedure so I asked the dentist all while standing in front of the receptionist if we could wait on the other procedure and fix his tooth because of school and kids being cruel. She agreed. We arrive and the receptionist Michelle told me no he was not scheduled for the tooth repair I told her that the dr and I discussed this last week while standing in front of your desk. So I assumed that things were fine. She stated “ No because I would have known better than to schedule a tooth repair this soon after it had happened”. I recounted our whole conversation that we had reminding her that we were talking about this in front of your desk . The Dr. , you ,Michelle the receptionist and myself I even asked how long of a procedure it would be so I can take off enough time to be there. I took off from work trying to get his tooth repaired even after I reiterated how kids are so cruel. She continued to say “ that nothing happens until I do it. I’m the receptionist I make the appointments.” I told her yes you do, so I assumed that since you were also commenting on kids and their behavior towards their peers that you took note of the procedure changing, since you were so focused on interacting with the Dr. my son’s, and myself during our conversation. ZERO STARS ! MUST READ ! Brought my son in for a check up today. 2 weeks after having a fall on his 2 front teeth. I had to ask them to take an xray which was the reason for the visit . I have a toddler which obviously isnt going to cooperate for an xray but working in a childrens field you would think they would be more tolerant and willing to take the time and get an accurate xray. The dentist we saw today tried to extract my sons two front teeth without taking a second glance or telling her assistant to get a better xray ! Saying he had an infection! Took him to get a second opinion and thankfully I did because his new dentist said he definitely would NOT have pulled those teeth! No sign of infection and new dentist made sure to get a good xray . I cannot remember the name of the dentist we saw at bippo . I think her name started with an R. Either way , VERY furious . If I would have let her, she would have taken my sons teeth out tomorrow. He is 20 months old. Wouldn't have front teeth for another 6 years or so. These people are good for nothing more than a cleaning at best. My son will never be going back here ever again. First time going to Bippos and the Setting is great for kids. Receptionist was nice. They only allow one adult in the back with your child or children I guess due to space. So multiple adults are not allowed if you take another adult with you. I bought her older sister cause my baby do good with her also but they said we can switch out but I wanted to get a feel of the company and workers myself since it was my baby first time. The first Dental Hygienist was a little rushy although my child was not wanting her to clean her teeth nor tilt her head. That position requires patience and kid friendly techniques to get the 2-4 years to cooperate. I advised her not to attempt anymore and we will do it at home. Other than that the dentist Molly was great with my child and we had another Hygienist that was very great also that helped with a filling for my child who use techniques to make my baby feel welcoming and also comply. Overall my child did good and we were satisfied at the end of the appt. They gave her little toys and balloons at the end for her...
