We saw Grease. My husband got balcony seats for our twenty ninth anniversary. It would have been good to know that there was smoke in this play, and then they didn't use the fans to dissipate it. It was really bothersome to my eyes and my throat. There was also a light for the stairs that was really annoying to your eyes. As for the acting in the play most of it was really, really good, except for they had an understudy for one of the roles, and it was quite obvious as as she missed the majority of her marks and had to be pushed into them. Read moreAmazing Entertainment! I have been to the Shawnee Playhouse for quite a few years now and every show I was able to see was a pleasure to watch. The actors, whether it was in a musical, a children's show or a feature show, are so committed to their art, their characters and the shows they are in. You can tell in their conviction to their character, that they work very hard to be on stage. It is a small theater, but because of its size, there isn't a bad seat in the house! The Box Office staff and the ushers are helpful and welcoming when it comes to finding the right seat. Being at the Shawnee Playhouse is always an entertaining experience, and I will definitely come back to more shows...

Tickets for this performance was sold out and simply navigating to and from assigned seating was a bit restricted. Overall a well executed venue for which my family and I...
