Smyrna Bowling Center — Attraction in Smyrna

we usually love coming here after work as a group, but our last visit left a lot of room for growth. we came to celebrate a birthday. we got there around 10:30 on a wednesday night and stayed probably a total of 4-5 hours. at first the staff was super sweet and welcoming, but later that changed. i ordered food and tipped at the counter, but the lady who took my order apparently never passed my ticket to the cook. i’m used to the food taking quite a while to be prepared but after an hour when i still hasn’t received my order, i went to check and found ONLY the cook left in the kitchen area. she was super sweet and got my order out as fast as she could, so shoutout to AB for being literally fantastic. at one point the lane malfunctioned in the middle of the game and the sweep came down while someone was already bowling, so the ball hit the sweep. i was walking back to the lane from the restroom at the time and overheard one of the staff members saying he “knew exactly which group it was because they always do this kind of thing when they’re here and cause problems” (keep in mind i hadn’t been here in several months and have NEVER had an issue with the staff prior to this occasion so idk what he was talking about). when he arrived to fix the lane, he became really aggressive saying he would kick us out with no refunds because we did it on purpose etc etc. how could we have done it on purpose when the lane malfunctioned? no one intentionally would have thrown a 15 pound bowling ball at the sweep when they were trying to win a game lol. he told us he could go “speak to his associate” to see if we were getting kicked out or not (FOR AN ACCIDENT CAUSED BY A MALFUNCTION ON THEIR PART). his “associate” came over and was super chill, letting us know he understood accidents happen but don’t let it happen again, he understood it wasn’t our fault. we moved on and kept having fun, but later in the evening, the group bowling next to our group had the same issue and got the ball stuck/hit the sweep as well, and the same staff member who came at us and threatened to kick us out helped them calmly and politely without being disrespectful or trying to force them to leave. i’m not sure what their issue was with our group because we minded our own business and didn’t cause any problems. we ordered food and drinks and we tipped accordingly. we just felt very singled out by that specific staff member and it wasn’t appreciated. i’ve gone here several times over the last five years, but now i’m not sure i’ll be going back if i can expect to be spoken to in such a...

WORST PLACE DO NOT GO It was a saturday night and i know every pkace is so busy on the weekends but I decided to get my friends to go there so we went and it wasn’t that busy so we waited to decide how many of us will play bowling and how many will play pool and out of no where we had a worker who came and tokd us DO NOT STEP ON our “mopped floor” that was weird but we saud that’s ok because they wirked hard and it should’ve been a long night for them , so we went to pay and play some bowling and we waited like 20 minutes to get someone behind the counter to pay and play then a girl came and said there’s no available lanes open and there was like 16 or17 open lanes with nobody on them , i told her ok how long can we wait she said 5 minutes , we waited for mor than 20 minutes and she came and said we can’t get an hour and we have to get games becuse they don’t do hours after 1 , and it supposed to be a 24/7 fully open facility, and there was a group who came 15 minutes in front of us who got 2 hours not tow games or anything . We went here tonight for my boyfriend’s birthday. We had a great time! It was worth the drive. We came very late & we had fun. Food was great. We really enjoyed it, thanks for making his birthday great. The staff was constantly cleaning and sanitizing behind each person. I saw bowling balls also being cleaned. The place was very nice and clean, our group could tell it was well kept up when we went. We came at the perfect time!! Restrooms were also clean. Thank you guys for everything. I’m so sorry you’re open 24/7 but I’m so glad I found this place & That’s one thing I love about it. No wait, no crowds, not much going on. Music was appreciated. The arcade machines didn’t give us all our tickets that sucked but it’s ok we still had fun that’s all that mattered.😍 I only wish it would glow and the lights go out but it’s a little older looking so I can’t expect newer stuff when it’s outdated. 10 stars for me ⭐️ we will...
