A historian (Diane) from the Washington's Crossing Historic Park gave us the info on this somewhat off-path burial/memorial for unknown soldiers. These soldiers made that fateful night crossing and gave their lives in the battle of Trenton in the name of freedom. Hiking to this memorial and paying our respects became one of the most meaningful moments of our trip!
