The people in the apple barn are very nice and friendly. The young lady with blonde hair in the sandwich shop is a little sassy. When I asked about my sandwich because it had been quite a while after the group in front of me got theirs, they said it should be right out. Well this girl brought it to me and just dropped it on the table in front of me. What? Who does that? It was also a cold sandwich (I ordered a grilled cheese with tomato panini). Clearly, they forgot to check on it. It should be set down easy. Like what did I do to you? I decided to eat at your farm's business for lunch rather than going someplace else. I usually give 2-3 stars ⭐ for rudeness but the family was so nice on the other side, it just made up for it.
There's ample parking. Cider comes out after labor day every year, never before. I learned from Mr. Haney they they use mixed apples to create the cider (McIntosh, Johnson, Golden Delicious, and more). They said it cannot be just one kind of it'll be too sweet or too tart.
They have a ton of peaches at the end of August and plenty of apples. They have jams and jellies and lots of various sauces and kitchen stuff too. Good place to find Christmas gifts for the chef in your family.
Donuts, coffee, sandwiches, slushies, lemonade and more next door. Stop for lunch. Hopefully, your experience will be better than mine.
If you're a vegetarian, you can order the grilled...
Read moreI wanted to take the little one to an Apple Orchard since we haven't been yet. I figured she would have a good time. We drove a little over an hour to get here, but the drive was absolutely beautiful! Such a smooth and easy drive with great scenery. The orchard itself was cute. It had a main building where you could purchase pre-picked apples in many different varieties. It also had all of your typical jams, jellys, ciders, t-shirts, giftable items, etc. We purchased a large bag to pick apples for only $12! It was very affordable and we got to pick so many apples! My little girl had so much fun running in and out of the different trees as she looked for the "perfect" apples to pick. They were helpful with providing us great apple picking tips. Once we were done, we walked next door to their donut shop. Where we got a Blueberry donut, apple cider glazed donut and a banana pudding custard donut. They have many fun games sitting around to play while you're enjoying a snack or a break. Such as tic tac toe, connect four, etc. After we were done, she got to play around on their nice sized playground for a while with some other small kiddos who were there. All in all a great time. We went on a Tuesday at lunch time, and it was NOT crowded. Will...
Read moreI stopped here today with my family and to take an older friend whom is visiting us from Florida for the summer for the experience. We had convinced him he must try the fried pies. He decided to buy a whole box of the fried pies, 5, and we all have 1, and we all each purchased other items as well. Being a Vietnam vet he asked upon paying if they gave a military discount. The two young ladies working the area had no clue so they went to ask a guy who was working in the kitchen area whom told them no. The young woman returned and in a cold unfriendly manner informed that they did not offer a military discount. She could of at least stated that they did not offer it, and at least said thank u for your service sir. Your business, your choice, but if the cost of yours and everyone's freedom is not worth some small amount, most other businesses 10%,...
